From Space Pauper to O-Millionaire in 1 day

  • Nope, this ain’t raiding inactives. (although that is a pretty easy one)

So what is this?

Oh God, you’re gonna hate me when I say this, but it’s to do with Dark Matter….

I can hear the cussing from here already, but if I told you this could easily make you 1,750,002 Metal or 1,166,668 Crystal or even 583,334 Deuterium all within a couple of hours, would you listen closer?

If you’re still reading, I’ll assume you don’t hate me and I’ll continue to tell you how to pull this one off.

You, my friend are gonna become a large scale trader. You will buy 2 million deuterium from someone at the boards, get them to send it to you first, then you’ll use their 2 million to trade with an Ogame Merchant using dark matter and keep the profits.

  1. Make sure you have at least 140 large cargoes.
  2. Make sure you have a level 8 metal storage.
  3. Make sure you have a level 8 crystal storage.
  4. Go to the ogame board and look for people selling deuterium, offer to buy 2 million of it at a ratio of 2:1.5:1
  5. Once they agree, make sure they send it to you first.
  6. When it arrives sell the deut to an ogame merchant at a rate of 3:2:1 (or there abouts, its always higher than 2:1.5:1) send back what you promised the seller and keep the profits.
  7. That’s it, just keep doing it every couple of days and you’ll get richer and richer. I’ve personally used this to gather over 8 million deut profit.

FAQ

What if there is no one selling deuterium?
Eventually someone will post a trade requesting for deuterium, so keep checking the trade forum everyday, remember, it only takes one trade to make a significant amount, so you can afford to be patient.

How do I approach the seller?
Usually the seller tells you what they want in return for your deuterium, so just send them a message giving them excatly what they want. Here’s an example:

“I can make the trade you have posted

I’ll buy 2 million of your deuterium for 3 milliom of my crystal

just send your resources to X:XXX:X and I’ll send you your crystal as soon as I see it coming.

Kind regards

<your player name here>”

Notice the last line, it makes it clear that they have to send it to you first before you return the deal.

This only seems to make me rich in deuterium, how do I get the other resources?
That’s easy, you’ll notice through this method you’ll build up a lot of deuterium. If ever you want the other resources, just call another ogame merchant and convert your deut to your desired resource.

I can’t afford the storage capacity or the 140 large cargoes right now, what should I do?
If you can’t afford these things just yet then this technique should be kept in the back of your mind for later. In the meantime I suggest you research raiding inactive players.

What’s the best investment for my profits?
Some great investments in order of priority are:

  • Building more large cargoes to handle bigger trades.
  • Dramatically increasing storage capacity so you can trade up to 10 million deuterium at a time (most trades don’t go higher than this)
  • Getting a moon by building 1667 light fighters and asking a friend to crash them. A moon will make your fleetsaves much more efficient making it harder for someone to plunder all the profit you gathered.
  • Building up your mines so don’t have to rely on trades as much.
  • Building lots of defense, to deter attackers from trying to grab your profits.
  • When you think you are ready, build a large fleet and think about fleet crashing for even more resources.
